Digital Compression Load Cell

A sort of sensor called a digital compression load cell is used to digitally record the weight or compression force that has been applied to it. It uses the same basic concepts as a conventional load cell but has electronics incorporated in for digital signal processing and communication. The linked system or device receives a digital signal that the load cell digitally transmits after digitising the electrical signal created from the applied force.

Compared to conventional analogue load cells, digital compression load cells have a number of advantages. They offer greater accuracy, sharper resolution, and more stable results. Because there is no longer a need for analog-to-digital conversion, there is less signal loss and measurement accuracy is increased overall.
