Product Description
Double Ended Beam Load Cell is used to measure compressive forces. This type of load cell is a variation of the shear beam load cell, normally rated for higher loads. In double-shear beam load cells, the force acts on the centre of the device. This makes double-shear beam load cells less sensitive to uneven loading. Double Ended Beam Load Cell is secured at both ends with load applied to the centre of the beam. These are secured at one end with the load applied to the opposite end. It is also used for a wide range of applications including floor scales, and hopper scales.

FAQ
1. What is a double ended beam load cell?
Ans - A force transducer known as a double ended beam load cell detects the strain caused by two opposing forces acting on a beam. The load cell receives the force and outputs an electrical signal proportionate to the applied force.
2. What kinds of uses can a double terminated beam load cell be put to?
Ans - Many industrial and laboratory applications, including test stands, hopper scales, tension/compression cells, compression machines, and various other technical applications needing accurate measurement of load force, are well-suited for the use of double ended beam load cells.
3. How do double ended beam load cells differ from single ended beam load cells?
Ans - High accuracy, repeatability, and stability are offered by double ended beam load cells for a variety of loads. While single-ended beam load cells can only detect tension, its design enables higher resolution of both tension and compression forces.
4. What are double ended beam load cells' drawbacks?
Ans - Double ended beam load cells' restricted capacity and more complicated design are their principal shortcomings. They can only support extremely restricted ranges of forces due to the double ended beam arrangement, and their design necessitates appropriate setup and calibration for optimum operation.
5. What kinds of double ended beam load cells are there?
Ans - Both analogue and digital double ended beam load cells are available. Digital load cells are better suited for usage in laboratories and in industry than analogue load cells since they provide a digital output signal instead of an analogue one. Additionally equipped with integrated communication modules, digital load cells are simpler to integrate into distributed systems.
